Community
Community involvement has always been one of Coordinated Financial Services' core values. Throughout the years, we've adopted families at Christmas, provided financial support to various non-profit organizations and participated in a myriad of community groups. During 2019 we partnered with Dawg Nation Hockey Foundation. A nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the spirit of fellowship via recreational hockey competition, supporting players and player’s families in high standards of health, wellness, and fair play, and supporting league and team players in local community outreach. “Dawg Nation is an organization committed to serving the hockey community. We identify individuals and families in need and strive to provide relief through difficult times.”
Giving back is what Dawg Nation is all about. In seven years, we've helped over 100 families in times of need with over $1,300,000 in recipient aid.
Lucas O'Connor is a hard-working college student who referees hockey games. He suffered a serious leg injury while working a high school game. His finances were such that Lucas refused an ambulance and later asked a fellow referee, "How am I going to pay for this?" That's when the Colorado Ice Hockey Referee Association and Dawg Nation joined together to lift a crushing weight off Lucas' shoulders.
The check, presented at Dawg Bowl, covers all of Lucas' bills! Dawg Nation Board Member and Secretary Rob Packard (in red), Board Vice President Greg Clinard, Board Member Matt Obert and the “DawgFather” made the presentation.
